I was wondering who it would be this week!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.

Wasn't he the last one in the leadership group, anyhow?
And you can't find nothing at all,
If there was nothing there all along.

            Who'd have guessed

            I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Good luck to Bolts. Deserves his chance!

So far, probably Goodes has raised his stakes for the captaincy after his two outstanding games as captain. Hall and Kirky not far behind.

                      Jude Bolton (FSC).

                      No longer, now SC.

Whilst he may have the toughest challenge from the opposition perspective, it gives the greatest opportunity to achieve a great result and to show his leadership capabilities.

My whole FSC argument is based on Jude's performance for the last 5 years. He always encourages, supports and gives guidance - just what the leader (captain) should do.

I must admit, that others are showing that over the last few months, but Jude has it as part of his modus operandi, and I think that is the difference.

                      Go Swans.

Yeah - fortunately - or unfortunately, most of the captains trialed so far have really stood up and played well as captain of the side. It seems that from a few years ago, when some might argue that leadership on the field cost the Swans a Grand Finals berth (Prelim Final - 4th Quarter vs Brissy - still painful) - the swans now have a plethora of on field leadership prepared to stand up and lead. While this is all good - its also has made something of a quandry - Goodes, Kirk, Barry - all with legitimate claims on the leadership so far - and yet Bolton, who I would argue has been our most consistent and gusty 'leader' on the field over the past season has yet to have a real turn at the job. Given that Bolton is young - and I think that the captaincy should be a long term role (Maxfields short reign was a safe choice and has really been the death knell to his career) I would argue that giving it to Goodes or Bolton is a better long term choice. But all have impressed - so that is a pretty flimsy arguement.

Given the specualtion that has surrounded the Power over the past month with the drama's of a non performing side with a non performing captain - alongside a deserving onfield performer in Tredrea, who suprisingly isn't supported by the playing group as the next leader. Sources detailed that Mark Williams left the decision between Tredea and Primus to the playing group and now they are in schemozzles - leadership wise with Primus's poor form and poor leadership.

Whoever the final choice is - it will interesting to see the justification of the Swans coaching staff in this decision.

Mathews and Leo being the exceptions.
