    Fosdike

Is it me or does anyone else think that Foz lacks the skills and/or courage to be a top AFL player?
This season imho he has gone backwards from last season. It looked like he had taken the next step, but no.
IMHO J Bolton has overtaken him and has improved by about 40%

He is a running type of midfielder, who should be coming off the defence. Don't expect him to be a in and under sort of player.

Its perculiar. Its as though Fosdike & Jude have swapped skills over the summer.

Forget Fossie, Nicks has more problems at the moment IMO.

I thought Fosdike had a pretty ordinary game last night, really struggling off the boot. I don't think it makes a lot of sense comparing him and Bolton in terms of courage/in-and-under ability as they are different sorts of players. We don't want everyone diving into the ball. We need some to use their head and be outside to accept the ball.

I still think Fosdike can make a decent AFL player, but needs to improve on his recent performances.

I thought J Bolton and B Matthews both did okay last night, without the usual shocking brain explosions we come to expect. Hopefully they keep that up.

However, J Bolton probably has to take some share in the blame for our midfield being thrashed in the first 3 qtrs.

It was nice to see Cresswell back- someone who knows how to get the footy, even though his disposal continues to be... interesting at times...

Nicks seemed to try hard but was not overly effective, although he was very close to doing some good things a few times.

Fosdike must think he is doing ok as he has also donned the white boots, which is thought represent a flash player.

On nicks, I was rapt to see him running to the half back flank at the start of the match to play half back on bruce or green.
However he didnt stay there too long, which was disapointing as i would like to see if he can recapture his form back there.

I think Fosdike is having a crisis of confidence, in the middle of his career. He still got plenty of touches (more than Micky I would imagine) and still shows courage.
