i am sure the afl site picks best players out of a hat,we know most press do their selections thru the bottom of a schooner glass.
why no mention for jude or capn kirk??
johnstone selected for melb and he made about 10 clangers, got dragged twice
Coach: "Joe,go out and get ferocious"

    Joe:"Sure coach,what number is he?"

    Interesting point .

I contacted Jenny Mc.Asey at "The Australian" about a year ago to ask who makes the selections.

Her brother ,works for the AFL and told her that the "official" best list is compiled by AP.

The best lists in "The Australian" , however , are compiled by their own journalist assigned to cover the game.

Mickey O did well last night , considering he's still not back to his best after injury , and Crezza got plenty of touches-very pleasing for his first game back.
But neither should have been on the best list at the expense of JB or Captain.

Indeed , one would think the methodology for choosing the best lists is "Who got a few goals ?Who got plenty of touches? There , job done , get me another beer."
