    One more sleep to go

I havent been so excited about a home and away game since the Collingwood game at Telstra Stadium in 2003. I'm gonna go to bed early tonight just so I can wake up sooner on match day. I'm like a kid a Xmas eve. I'm a proud football tragic!

    Agree!

Have not felt this excited for a home game since the 96 prelim against Ess.

Sunshine, packed SCG, genuinely HUGE match!

    Go Swannies...

Yep, me too. Interesting as it's in the 3rd quarter at Telstra and looks like the Cats will go down to the Dogs. Then if we win tomorrow . . .

You lucky ducks. It is POURING with rain here. The netball was cancelled this morning and there are only inside things to do like watch theDoggies run over the Cats. My youngest and I went to have a hotchocolate at the place my eldest works and we had to wait half an hour for the rain to ease so we could get to the car.

I have got to the nervous pacing around the house stage and there are still 17 hours to go.

We had rain here this morning, but not enough to wet the gound deeper than a couple of mm.

I have to work tomorrow, so I'm taping the game and watching it at 4pm..... and turning off the phones!

Beautiful, sunny (no cloud at all) 20C winters day in Sydney today and the same forecast for tomorrow.

Landmark game for the swans. On a winning streak, facing biggest challange, tippers and media starting to back us......

..... usually means we fail embarrasingly.

Can we reverse our culture ?

Hope so. Although I worry that our recent form is against a depleted Geelong that even get beaten by the dogs, and Melbourne in free fall.

              Go Swans.

Either way we are still in form and confident.

Was just thinking about how Sydney have always been good against Brisbane over the last few years with their fab four midfielders when they were leading the comp. Sydney is as tough as they come so if they are hard at the footy like the last few weeks there is no reason why the boys cant overcome West Coasts midfield and take the four points.

Dare i say we have a good record against top sides over the last few years. Always up for a challenge! Lets hope the boys are up tommorrow.

Like our game record against the all-conquering Lions? The undefeated Saints? The minor premiers Port? Our track record would have us more likely to thrash the Toasters and fall over against the Hawks.

We've defeated better sides generally when no one thinks we have a chance.

I think there is more of a history of what barry refers to.

History of the Swans tends to, more often than not, show overperformance when the underdog and underperformance when favourite.

Despite the bookies, do you REALLY think the Swans are going into this game complacent that it'll be an easy win??

Well the state some of them were in at 2 this morning suggests that they are not taking things too seriously. But my, it was fun!
