    Schneider is BACK!

Ok so we really need to take it one week at a time, and a couple of good things dont mean he is a superstar... but damn those two goals were excellent!

And he seems to be rediscovering his touch and confidence. He ran Wirrpunda all over the SCG today, and not only limited his impact of the half back line, but worked very hard to create opportunities.

    And what about that goal!

He gives the impression of a confidence player, so todays game could be the launch-pad of his second coming.

Schneider was back to his best 2003 form today. He was a delight to watch. Great to have him back in such form and heres hoping it continues.

Those two great goals appeared to lift everyone else at the SCG as well, players and supporters.

Before the first one I was sitting here shouting Get RID OF IT GET RID OF IT YOU STUPID LAIR...WOW! SCHNEIDER!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Agree fully. Those 2 goals were, if you can say it about a player that young "vintage" schnieder.
But what i thought were just as good to see as his two goals were his two crucial smothers that led to goals.

For his second goal, some credit must go to Buchanan who did well to shepherd Wirrpunda to allow Schneids the time to balance and slot it home.

Yep, you could just tell how excited his team mates were that he was able to nail them - that first goal was sensational! Was very impressed with his whole game today, not just the goals.

So glad to see Schneider back to his best! That goal at the start of the 4th was magic! He seems to have got his run back as well, which is great news.

I am still pumped! I cant wait 5 days till the next game!! I have a good feeling about September all ready!!!
It was the Schneider of old yesterday! Fantastic to see and lets hope he continues!!
And the man who started it, the Schneiderman, can kick his third for the quarter. And the swans are in the Grand Final!

Schneids has been playing well in the 2s now for a while, but then again, who hasn't?
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

I disagree, I think he may be better.
His two bounce goal was wonderfull but so too was his tackle and then handball that lead to a Hall goal.
What I realy liked was the way he shepherded MOL awfull helicopter for a goal in the 1st(?) quarter, which was missed on the TV. But from the Bradman you could see a remarkably selfless effort. I'm not sure the old Schneider would have thought of that.

It's good to see him playing well up forward, hopefully Roos will keep him there and keep Monty to the midfield.
