I clicked over to the radio link on Saturday night to listen to the game but I was a bit early so MMM were only playing music. The song was Rock Lobster. Obviously ROK is a bad omen.

Yes, a very bad omen. But seeing as though I am not the Domestic Goddess of the duo, I can deflect that comment onto Erin. She burnt the bikkies! It was all her fault!

We're staying in an apartment this weekend with a kitchen for the sole purpose of making the Melbourne folk some of our trademarked Good Luck Footy Bikkies. Well, for that and for a bit of a splurge....
They're still Bay 28 ones, though not sure where we'll end up in terms of seating arrangements. Nonetheless, they're Bay 28 in vibes and spirit!

And they will be tasty!

I noticed this too - silly superstitions about footy biscuits aside - sorry Erin!, I tend to find the on-field omens more reliable.

I just hope that winning 3 out of the next 4 games will be enough to guarantee a top 4 spot! Because if not, it will look more like

Elimination Final W
Semi-Final W
Preliminary Final W
Grand Final L!

Needless to say, I'm willing to accept a loss to the Hawks in Round 22 if we have a top 4 spot sewn up by then

And these on-field omens do have some credibility - just consider this from 2004:

The Swans beat every team in the competition once, except for Port Adelaide, the eventual premiers. The thunder and lightning at the Weagles game turned out to be a sign of a Port premiership - after all, that IS their clash jumper! (Hey, maybe these superstitions do have some merit)

Out of all the teams the Swans played twice, the result of the second meeting was the reverse of the first clash. That win over St. Kilda in Round 11 proved pretty costly!
