    Adelaide

If it wasnt for the WC game and the physical toll it will have on our players, I'd say we are a good chance against Adelaide.
Its our last really hard game for the year (appart from Brisbane).

If we win, we are a chance for 2nd which would really set up a great finals campain. But would pretty much need to win every game for the rest of the year to get 2nd. So 3rd still likely.

If we loose, we'd probably finish 4th. 4th is still a lot better than 3rd, because going on form:
    1. First final, loss to WC in Perth
    2. Second final, home against bottom of the 8 side
    3. Prelim against Adelaide at neutral MCG. (AFL-MCC rule not fixed)
    4. Granny against WC at neutral MCG.

So no cut throat games 'away'.

Firstly, this will probably be fixed by then. To much scrutiny on it already, and considering its already been inked but not yet signed, I'm sure there will be enough pressure to close it.

Secondly, why do people have to write off our QF if we get there?? Why cant we just let the opposition clubs do the writing off, and let us be the supportive and positive ones? Who can forget the image (on the front of the website) of Cressa and the guernsey? Whose to say it cant happen again?

I hope so, but there are 2 things working against it:
      1) MCC president Gough is off in England watching the cricket
      2) Andrew Demetriou is involved.

2 teams scare me at the moment:

St Kilda: Their timing couldn't be worse for the opposition, they are finding form as their injured soldiers return to the front line. Really big bodies are intimidating.

Adelaide: They remind me of us in 2003. They have a unique game plan that is hard to combat. Loads of talent, super fit and few injuries. Their ordinary players are playing well.

If we can overcome Adelaide, then we have no reason not to believe we can be there on the last day. I just hope we don't have to meet the Saints along the way.

Why? They worry me less than any other potential finals team, even though they were the last team to beat us.

They are our "bogey" team and I think Wallace has us figured out. I would be more nervous playing them then any other team. Well except probably St. Kilda at the MCG and, I guess, any trip to WA but I think we are better than West Coast.

If St Kilda finish 3rd and us 4th, We wont meet them at all.
But i agree, they have the wood on us.

Adelaide will fall short for the same reason we did in 2003. Not enough self belief. I have no fear of them.

I can't believe you are writing this week off already.

It is common knowledge throughout the AFL that Adelaide, under Neil Craig's direction, have undergone a rigorous fitness campaign in the last 3-4 weeks in the hope that the extra fitness base will help the Crows when the finals begin proper. Craig is fully aware (and has stated so) that the extra training could impact the players energy levels on game day and is prepared for a loss or two along the way.

I think we are a good show this week for the above reasoning and also because of the following factors -

                      1. The Swans are relatively injury-free, are playing with confidence and seem to be "up" for all the big games recently
                      2. Adelaide are due for a loss because of there win/loss ratio and, in my opinion, have been playing above there list this season.
                      3. Adelaide have struggled to play out four qrts recently, due in part to the rigorous fitness campaign imposed by Craig as mentioned above

I think the games the Swans could lose and I consider dangerous coming towards the end of the season is either Essendon or Hawthorn due to a let down by not being "up" for the game and taking the opposition too lightly in there minds.....

They will be fired up against Adelaide, Brisbane and the Kangaroos, whereby I would back them in to win if the previous three weeks "up" is any indication....
Well somebody told me, You had a boyfriend, Who looks like a girlfriend,That I had in February of last year, It's not confidential, I've got potential

Somebody told me, The Killers, Hot Fuss, 2004.

Adelaide's fitness regimen will probably leave it in great stead for the finals. The Saints if at full strength will probably end up favourites for the flag. They have more talent than any other team.

They are more of a bogey team for us than the Tigers IMO.

I guess the reason for talking about the finals is that there is a good chance we are going to be playing in them.
