Perhaps they are more similar, Cressa was a poor converter early and improved somewhat with maturity.

But I agree the way Amon has played the past 11 matches has been simular to the way Cressa played the game.
My thoughts exactly. He just needs to kick the goals on the death knell to win us some games.

He certainly knows how to find the ball.

He seems to even have learnt how to stage for free kicks from Cressa (Roos game with free kick after the siren to win anyone???)

        I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

I reckon he's getting even better at this than Cressa was! Bucky's so small and so cute looking, it makes you want to jump the fence everytime someone goes near him. That plus the fact it's almost impossible not to tackle him high, he's becoming a bit of a free-kick magnet.

I had to laugh at the way he held his face in 'pain' after being 'felled' by M. Johnson and P. Read. Worked both times
To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!

Loved Bucky's work in recent weeks (tho I'm not too sure abt the cute part...) - it's not just that he is doing the one-percenters, it's that he is doing game-turning 1-%ers.

Must be inspiring for the blokes around him as well - amazing what a glimpse at your footballing mortality can do for your desperation.

Perhaps he could teach Monty that ridiculous bouncy-bouncy run-in Cressa used for set shots.

There have been a lot of great Monty moments of late (stunning goals against the Tiges and the Cats..or was it Melbourne) anyhoo...my two favourite Monty moments are almost identical...beating Wirrapunda hands down in a one-on-one classic fifty-fifty hard ball get, turning him inside out and setting up a goal.

Did the same against Freo on exactly the same spot when he dived in harder than Bell, sprang to his feet, turned out of traffic and delivered...for a goal

Or against the Cats when he dived in harder than Ablett, sprang to his feet, turned out of traffic and delivered...for a goal.

In fact I have just remembered another three or four like it, but the Wirrapunda one was the best for me, not because it was the cleverest play...that was the one on the left half forward flank, pick up through traffic for unbelievable team goal to Crouch (Melbourne?) but because he went toe to toe with a Class A player and pantsed him.

It just goes to show the commitment Bucky shows in his footy. I can recall that he had about 5 or 6 entries in the latest lot of the 1% awards, including number 1 where he set up Crouch's goal in the 9 goal avalanche against the feral cats.

The tackle, the dive, tap forward to Davis, backsup, receives the handpass from Davis, handballs or kicks to Willo who sets up Crouch to run in and kick one of the best team goals for the year.

                  Onya Bucky!

That's probably my favourite Monty play of recent weeks. The look on Ablett's face, as he watches Monty sprint away from the pack with the ball tucked under his arm, was priceless.

No doubt he is going well and is an inspirational type
player with a bit of cockiness chucked in too. As we know
a weakness with his set shots but that can be worked through
                      on the training track.
