    No guts, No glory

Last night we showed guts and fought it out til they burst. It shows what can happen when our midfielders can perform to somewhere near their best. Our centre clearances in the final stanza were probably the top all season for us in 20 minutes of footy.
Was the win due to Cressa's return freeing up the likes of Willow and giving us some motor. Or was it the fact that our first choice ruck finally perform ed allowing Goodes freedom of any high expectations in the ruck. Tadhgs run off the backline was eciting to watch.
THe only downer was seeing what should be the ast games of two of Sydneys biggest names over the last 6 years - Nicks and Warfe. Matthew Nicks played with no heart and desperation. If a tackle had to be made he backed down, if a foty had to be dived on he was beaten to it everytime. If there is no desire then call it quits now, just like Schwatta did, i think. Warfe has had enough written about his faults.

The wobbles will be a tough task coming off a spanking and embarrassment like that. If we can play at our best like Q4 we will trouble them to no end
    - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

There is nothing sadder than seeing once quality players really struggling.

The club needs to be fair to Warfe and give him the opportunity to get up some confidence in the reserves - he looked terrible - but once was an ok player.

Nicks is a spent force - interesting that when he was off we looked a lot better. Dropped everything - no desparation - no intensity - a liability at the moment.

To be honest as a supporter there is nothing worse than a pedestrian footballer especially when you see the workrate off his team-mates in the final qrtr.

Gotta give it to Bolts Williams Maxi Kirk incredible intensity at the ball in the final qrtr
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

One of the comments I read from Roos was that Nicks would have been off the ground if there was someone to replace him which goes a long way towards explaining his performance....

Great to see Micky O working his way back!!!!!
