Hypothetically speaking (for now at least)- i'd much rather see the Swans play their finals at the SCG. Forget about the extra tickets available at Stade de Oz- I think the Swans loose some of their home ground advantage by playing there.
Even if i cant get a ticket i'd rather watch the Swans win on Tv than watch them loose a close one in person at homebush.

Stats don't support your argument. Sydney has a good record at Homebush. By memory 2 for 2 this year (so far), 3 out of 4 last year. I'm sure one of our statistical wizards could give you the remaining Homebush results and then a % comparison with games at the SCG over the same period.

No way will the west take to another team. There are so many supporters already in the west for the Swannies, not to mention the south and central coasts and southern highlands.

And FWIW, my dad played in a local league when he was younger. We were brought up on Aussie Rules. My sis and I both played in the Women's League when that first started. We're Aussie Rules people through and through

The west of Sydney can only be converted by a different team to the Swans IMHO.
You really dont have a clue.

I thought this "Eastern Suburbs is the heart of Swans" B.S. was a thing of the past.

PS Excuse me for my late reply as I've just got home from my son's junior AFL training (who, like his younger brother has been a Swans member since Birth). FWIW we live in the Hills District.

Compared to VIC, people from NSW just arent interested in sport. And most of the league supporters here support league because everyone else does.

People who have a real understanding of sport and appreciate the skills of it will move to AFL (exception of LD from bigfooty), as I did when i ditched the roosters for the swans (the same year the roosters won the premiership).
Using hypothesis testing via confidence intervals:
Nick Davis mark inside 50 = goal

Maybe you could ditch the Swans for the Roosters, and do us all a favour this year!!!!
