    Dempster

I like what I see of the kid....but not in important defensive areas.

He was well beaten in crucial contests by Sampi, but...and it's a big but...when he is on the attack he looks GREAT (just has to remember not to handball sideways to senior players with lesser skills!)

I really like him on the wing...really clean hands...quick to make space with the ball in hand and great vision and thumping kick to set-up Jolly's goal.

Much, much happier seeing him do that than reacting second to his opponent as the ball hits the ground in front of goal.

    Just like Kennely?

I agree about the vision and the kicking but the strange thing about Sunday was that several times, especially early in the match, his decision-making left a lot to be desired. He chose wrong options and put the bloke he was handballing to under the hammer.

So it goes wiith young fellas playing their first "finals" footy - will be better for the run.

Playing the youngsters in the back line appears to be part of their "professional development" - agree tho he doesnt look an obvious backman.

I only recall one instance like that, when he handballed to Mathews. It looked to me like Mathews called for it, too.

Dempster is looking very good. Doesn't get much of the ball though.

Just for RWOers who have an obsession with wingers. I heard a rumour that we are playing 22 wingers this week.

Er, no such thing any more.
