    Parking at the SCG !!

What a bloody nightmare to get a park.

The game should have started at 7:30pm......

Anyone else share my frustration ?
Will this be the year !!!!

No problem here! I planned to get there at about 3:30... After the League game started, but before it ended. If you got there at about 5pm it would have been a nightmare.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Not if you have reserved parking

But a big problem was that they still the "car park full" signs outwhen most of the NRL crowd had left and there was lots of spaces again.

We park in Fox. It's a bit more expensive, but quite convenient and much less hassle. Although Friday had more traffic than usual we still got a spot without much trouble at all.

We heard over the radio at 3pm that the car park was full so we parked at gordan and took the train in. it was such a hassle because of everything on in the moore park area plus the trains were late so i had planned to get there at 3 30 but didnt get there til 5
also agree with 7 30 everyone would be gone out of the area

WE parked at fox studios, it wasnt much dearer, if at all, cos we paid once we parked, went straight in and straight out while everyone was left queing up to pay. Worked quite well but there were heaps of spots in the SCG parking once the NRL yobbos left but wot can ya do. Fox works all the time.

We park in Fox and it took a bit longer to get it. Getting
out took awhile but it would have been much worse if
we had lost. Worth the wait.

i arrived at around 5 and drove straight into the normal car park opp the scg. All the signs indicated that the car park was full, but you could clearly see all the vacant spaces prior to turning into driver ave.

fox studios is cheap after 6pm when there is a flat rate, which you can pay when you park, prior to that time it is a pain in the arse - only good thing is your car wont get dirty.

No problem parking here...we arrived about halfway through the 2nd quarter of the ADF vs Services match...and always park at Sydney Boys/Girls High School. I would rather the $10 go towards facilities at the schools, rather than to some anonymous quango or a private parking company. Consider it in future guys...

                    We got there around 5:30pm.

I found 3 spaces (no time restriction) about 500m from the ground where I usually park if Centenial Park is closed (ie night games)

If you look hard enough you can find such places but that is all I will tell you. (sorry!)

I would've just parked at home and walked - and I live in Geelong!

A little walk never killed anyone, did it Robbie and Jules?
