    The players' coach

A wave of public support swept Paul Roos into the Sydney coach's box. Little did fans know they wanted Roos more than Roos needed the job. Richard Hinds reports.

"What did we do this week that we hadn't been doing before?" he asked his men. After a brief silence, a small voice rose from the back of the room: "We won!" said Dylan Roos.

And that's why we wanted him.
And why we wouldn't change him for somebody else - at least not in the foreseeable future.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Great reading - I really enjoyed reading that even after our loss tonight.
When the ball doesn't bounce your way, and the goals miss - when those kicking them always shoot well - we were just not meant to win.
Look out next week - probably just as tough as the last weeks.
Damn Essendon after they beat Geelong.
        Win please win swannies.
The first game I miss watching or seeing live - due to celebrating a special birthday of my husband's.
        Hope the Swans play hard.
I am not complaining though re missing it at least I am okay - I feel so sad for Wade it would be so good if we could some how win this year for him and the many other followers who have followed Swans for years and years and years.

Thanks for posting the story on Roos though.
        Love those Swans
