    Rok

Time to mature as a player.

He was in my good books there for a while but its hard to like him when he rushes things and at times I feel is greedy.
Mind you he did put a lot of effort into tonight's game.

I thought he was pretty good except for his goal kicking, which was woeful.

Though I do think he throws the ball onto his boot in hope at times.

1.2 is not, per say woeful. The team had a woeful conversion rate but it would be a bit rich to single out ROK.

You can never deny his effort, but over the last few weeks his skill level has dropped off markedly. I think he's rushing to get boot to ball, and I also think he's playing fairly selfishly - not looking for a better option and having too many shots from tight angles or too far out.

As a key forward he should have nailed some of those goals

You called it Owen at the ARC. Some of his work was selfish at times. He looked out of his depth kicking for goal outside 50 and really should of looked at the top of the square or for a quick lead. The endevour i would never doubt and he still had a really decent game, but when it all boils down to it in a game as tight and close as this, 2 Behinds (1 an absolute gimme goal) and 2 OOBOTF were unforgivable.

OOBOTF? Easy goal straight in front?

He's not being singled out - it's a thread on ROK!

Yep, that should read 1.2.2 for goals.behinds.oobotf. Looking at his face after those kicks he's probably being harder on himself than we are. But in a low scoring game those shots were essential and he failed.

He was playing badly at the start of the year but has been good recently. Dropping last night when he was really needed (especially with NOG damaged) might be excusable but it's not acceptable.

And what is it with forwards missing easy marks - Baz/Magic? And Baz having a potential shot on goal and kicking to congestion on the 50?? Delivery was never going to be easy last night but I think, overall, our midfield produced and our forwards didn't.

It was really Kirk, Buchanan and Goodes who delivered in the midfield.

Also, O'Keefe, Hall and Davis did well pushing up from half forward.

Of course, that meant our forward structure was pretty ordinary for much of the game.

There was one really nice piece of play when three forwards led into space and O'Keefe was passed the ball - but he kicked it OOBOTF.

One other problem was that many of our shots seemed to be from 40+m out - we were breaking down entering F50.

We didn't have a single goal from within 30 metres. It was like kicking through a wall across our forward 50.

(Though if Magic had marked and Bucky had kicked the sitter that would have been a very different story.)

ROK had a shocker. Trying too hard and thought he was under more pressure than he was a few times.

Lack of experience and maturity perhaps. Goodes was similar victim of this few years back. Maybe ROK should sit down and have a chat with Goodes on how to overcome those big game adrenaline.

ROK had a barry in the kicking department last night. And Bon was the first to agree: "ROK is playing @@@@".

Perhaps it is because two weeks ago, Bon Bon swore (as truth) on ROK's headband something that was not truthful.
