True, but it was the spirit in which it was uttered.

And not to worry. Erin has a strategy to ensure this curse is reversed. Fingers and toes and feathers it works before this weekend's game!

I didn't see last night's game, but it sounds as if ROK had an off night, as least as far as accuracy is concerned. It can happen to anyone.
Apart from that his work has been excellent lately, especially his linking kicks into the F50, a bit like the big left hoof we used to see from Stuey. I'm prepared to forgive his lapses last night in the hope that he strikes form again for the next couple of months.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Lets just hope it isnt the game we look back on over the next month that costs us a top 2 spot or forces us to travel to Subi, they were as easy shots as Rok has had or ever get.

ROK had more than an off night - he almost single-handedly cost us second position.

Even a day after the event I'm fuming at his efforts. I know there were other blunders but his efforts in particular were woeful.

Those types of games tend to put players under the blowtorch & I'm afraid we've had a preview of what we can expect from Ryan in the finals. My suggestion: let's find out what Vogels can do while O'Keefe sorts out whether he'd actually like to play finals footy.

That's a bit harsh. His kicking for goal certainly let him down but he wasn't alone in that department.

Apart from that I thought he had a decent game and his workrate was fine.

Come off it - he's kicked one goal from 5 shots in a game where we've kicked 6 goals in total - not even ROK would say he had a decent game.

May be I'm being harsh but you're being way too lenient - he's now a seniorish member of the team & that display in a critical game for us was just amateurish (at best). Given the context, I don't think it's exaggerating to say he has cost us a decent shot at the flag. Sorry, but my blood boils each time I think of those missed shots (and yes, let's chuck Davis in their as well, as only slightly less culapable).

Thats a good idea, he is in need for more game time too.

ROK's worse game last year was the final against St Kilda.

Geez. You guys can't call for O'Keefe's blood just because he's had one poor game. I will agree with you that he played poorly last night - I was fuming at some of his crappy kicking for goal but let's not go too overboard with the criticism. Dropping him for Vogels...? That would be a huge mistake in my opinion. He was just starting to find his touch in the weeks prior to last nights game and actually playing probably the best footy of his career. Even though he had an off night in front of the sticks, he is still winning plenty of the ball, which is where he was struggling at the start of the season. Don't use him as a scapegoat for what was a disappointing but definitely not a season ending loss or anything. I think there are a lot of blokes out there who would have been disappointed with the game last night.

Didn't you have a strategy to reverse this before next Saturday night's game? If so, it better work!!
