    West Coast loses to Adelaide

UNtil last night I thought the most biased, parochial commentary in the land came out of Perth but unless that was McLeod's dad and cousin doing the commentary last night, the bias shown was inexcusable throughout the whole game.

I TOTALLY AGREE! The commentary by Chris McDermott was the most biased commentating that I have ever ever heard and I was so frustrated last night by it I have already penned my letter to fox footy and I have never done that before.

    It was discraceful!!

We still had 2 former swannies players commentating (Scwhass...however you spell it) and Seymour but at least they are fair to both sides.
    Swannies for life!

Yeah, it was pretty awful but it's pretty much every week.

        The commentary was AWFUL!

to the point where I turned it off at half-time to listen to the broadcast on Triple M.

I don't think that I would have been able to stand listening to those baised Adelaidians shrieking their way through the rest of the match....

Adelaide has 40000 members, and only a couple of family tickets.

I could go on about the freaks, social misfits and bogans I have seen in the last 24 hours, but there is no point. In Melbourne seeing somebody in a footy scarf is an excuse to go up and talk with them about the game. In Adelaide it is an excuse to shower you in constant abuse and personal attacks. I just wanted to get into my hotel last night to get away from the morons roaming around the streets of the Adelaide CBD either giving it to us to the point of FOLLOWING US DOWN THE STREET singing the club song in our ears to snidely asking us the score just to make us squirm.

If you thought the commentary was bad, you were lucky you weren't there behind the goals last night. We needed security to PROTECT us from getting our heads kicked in in the last quarter by a group of bogans with mullets and earings called the "Crow Army". Again we needed a security escort out of the ground as well.

"Ad-laide" is further proof that incest is NOT the answer to population shrinkage.

Despite that Jules, did you have fun?

And how enthusiastic was the crowd (reports differ)?

Overall, what did you think of the game - and the Swans performance?

That's not a good thing, JF. But apparently 'tis not the first time that happens to visiting supporters in Adelaide. For those who remember my rant about how mean and nasty those Saints and associated non-Swan loving Melbourne people were to us earlier in the year, I have another part to that story.

Erin and I went into a shop and the girl started talking to us about footy. Turned out she was a Pies supporter and retold the story of her trip to Adelaide last season. But it was a similar story to yours, JF. They had scaps of food hurled at them all game, people spitting on them, they had security guards sitting with them, an escort to the bathroom, an escort from the ground to the bus etc. And her friend, who was in the bathroom unaccompanied, got himself beaten to a pulp by feral Crows supporters.

No one deserves to be treated badly at a game - win, lose or draw. I have been known to have a go at people around us who have been harassing other supporters cos it's just not on. Play the ball, not the man. Where has good sports(wo)manship gone?
And you can't find nothing at all,
If there was nothing there all along.

I thought Foxtel commentary was okay.

When you've played for a team it must be difficult to be objective, but Chris McDermott's bias was painful to listen to. Campbell is just a bad commentator in general.
