    What's happened to Schauble???

Is he not in the team because the coaching staff believe he is too slow - perhaps passed it? Or are the younger players simply better options; in particular LRT and Dempster.

Aslo just changing the topic - I remember in last years finals finding out that Leo was carrying an injury - He now seems to be under an injury cloud as well - Would it be prudent to rest him for perhaps one/two weeks in readiness for the finals - Or are you all going to jump me for this suggestion?

    YES!

We need to maintain our top 4 position so unfortunately we can't rest anyone. I think that Leo is injured but for now he'll have to deal with it.

      Schauble . . . now there's a name I haven't heard for a while.

NO-ONE KNOWS WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO SCHAUBS BUT WE'D REALLY LIKE TO!

I presume he's too injured to play seniors but the club won't tell us. Or he got too cosy w Roosey's wife during the mid season break. Or they think he's too old and slow. Or they think he's no longer necessary.

But half the fans seem to think we need less defence, not more, so maybe the selectors are merely following our wishes?

Can anyone really argue that the defense is a problem for us at the moment? Even the midfield is working well. Our forward line is the part of the team that has struggled for most of the season, particularly the last 2 games. Or is this due to bad delivery from the midfield? Probably both.

Either way, I would suggest that our defense is working well, and is working so well due to the rebounding that Leo can provide by playing fullback against a slower and less mobile opponent.

Only problem with Leo, he gives away at least Six Inches to whoever he is matched up to on the backline, any wonder he gives away so many frees

Schaubs has been playing up forward in the reserves. I suspect he's gawn.

As I see it we need Schauble back in. And yes, I think it would be a good idea to give Leo a week off, even if it means missing his appointment with Lloyd next week.
We are going to play finals football from whatever position and I'd rather do it with Leo than without.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I presume that's simply so he can get some fitness.

North Melbourne at the SCG seems the most likely game coming up where Schuable could be selected.

I guess we'll know after this game whether he's part of the required 22 or not.

After that its almost too late to blood him before the finals.

Could be saving him for the Finals?

LRT better than Schauble??? - I doubt it. I don't think he's better than anyone on our list.

The fact that he has been overlooked for weeks after his woeful effort at Telstra Dome tells me he is done and dusted.
