I'd be happy with either Goodes or Kirk - atm I lean towards Adam.

Goodes has enough pressure trying to find consistency without the added pressure of being captain. While its possible that he might rise to the occasion I would rather see Kirk as captain. He only has a few years left and deserves it more than anyone else.

I can't remember the last time he had a bad game, he's got a great personality which would be good for the media and seems to be a real leader at the club allready, both on and off the field.

I think give it to kirky for now and then probably give it to Goodes once he retires.

i think it's like when people vote on the internet movie database (imdb.com) and give movies like 'robot monster' and 'plan 9 from outer space' 10 out of 10 - "it's so bad it's good"
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

I agree and I don't agree. I've thought all along that Kirk was the logical successor as captain, but I don't buy this 'he's only got a few years left' argument which I've heard a few times of late. Kirk has incredible endurance and fitness and there's no reason to believe he can't play for a further 5 or 6 seasons. Admittedly this may not be as long as the remainder of Goodes' or Hally's careers, but a decent captaincy stint nevertheless.

In his favour, Kirk doesn't get injured and has not missed a game since late in season 2002. He is fair, never gets reported and doesn't get distracted by opposition tactics or umpiring decisions. He is our most consistent player, and an inspiration to the team with his ball-winning ability and quality of diposal.

His story is a testament to overcoming adversity and toughing it out. His work ethic is sensational. He is also a product of NSW which can possibly be used as a marketing strategy.

While I wouldn't have a problem with Goodes or Hall as captain, I'm convinced that Brett Kirk is the man.
It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.
