Hmm. Interesting that Misson doesn't think Adelaide's so-called new training regime will suit everyone - that is, if that IS the reason for Adelaide's last quarter fades...

Apparently Melbourne tried the same thing last year and they ended up going into a downward spiral that they never recovered from.

I would love to see the Swans go into a finals series just once without any major injuries - I think every finals they've been in for the last few years they seem to have had a horror run with injuries at just the wrong time!

My memory recalls a 2001 elimination final against the hawks where I think ROK did a knee, Kel tore a hamstring and I think Willo was injured too! I remember that was the first season I first began to feel a bit of passion for the Swans - even though I hadn't even been to a game yet at that stage!

I think Misson has quite rightly suggested that you tailor it to the players you have in your squad. If you overload some of the older blokes or some who have had repetitive injury problems you might get break down. Of course Neil Craig was successfully behind a similar strategy when Blight coached them to the flags and the Crows were the best team in September for 2 years runnings, so you can understand why they are trialling it again.
