Fosdike in and Moore is the unlucky one to be dropped.

Well there's not much Moore he can do about that.

Good to see The Lezzo is back.

For the Bombers they have made 3 changes:

Monfries, M Bolton and McPhee in.

          Cupido, Solomon and McVeigh out.

No McVeigh's playing in this match.

I wonder if Mrs McVeigh is secretly pleased about not having to split her loyalty.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

              Here is the Bummers side:

              ESSENDON
              B: Lovett-Murray, Fletcher, McPhee
              HB: Bolton, Bradley, Welsh
              C: Winderlich, J.Johnson, Murphy
              HF: M.Johnson, Lucas, Hird
              F: Lovett, Lloyd, Dyson
              FOLL: Hille, Stanton, Peverill
              I/C: Henneman, Richards, Rioli, Monfries
              EMG: Alvey, Watson, Slattery
              IN: Bolton, Monfries, McPhee
OUT: McVeigh (susp), Solomon (knee), Cupido

Our team looks a bit better balanced this week, although I would still like to see another back-up tall defender in Schuable on the bench or a tall utility player like Saddington, but I suppose Vogels is filling that role at present.

Fosdike will give us another rotation option through the midfield, plus the Bummers are not overly blessed with pace in the middle.

We also have the advantage of having two big tall ruckman to their one so they should be able to control the rucks the further the game goes on.

Need to make sure our first up options in Leo, C Bolton & LRT stand up against Llyod, Hird & Lucas from the start or we could struggle.

Another tough and uncompromising performance like last week from the midfield should get us over the line.

              Come on boys..........

Bolton is in to match up on Goodes. Amazing to think that the Bombers have won every clash in Melbourne between the 2 teams since 1989.

Arrrggghhhhh!!!! Every time someone reminds me of that game I have horrific flashbacks. Perhaps we can place something in the RWO posting guidelines that forbids any further mention of it.

I hope the forces of Good and Light will triumph over the Dark Side tomorrow night. 16 years without a win over the Dark Side in Melbourne is a long time, and is a major hoodoo. However, all hoodoos must come to an end. There was a time when we had not beaten Carlton away (specifically Princes Park) for many years, but now we are in the midst of our longest ever streak of wins over Carlton.
