After a fairly disappointing 1st half when he got killed in the centre by Hille (thankfully JBall stepped in and took control), I thought Jolly's 2nd half was very handy. Whilst he may not have stood out in the stats, he did a lot of intangibles, such as drifting deep into the backline and stopping several forward thrusts by the Bombers (touching Johnson's kick on the goal line was brilliant - did you see Johnson's reaction when the goal umpire only signalled a behind? Sucked in you "weak dog"!) He also drifted forward and provided another tall target up front. And every time the ball came to ground he gave a red hot go at trying to get it out or get his body in to help teammates. If he can sustain this effort, I think we can be pretty pleased with his drafting.

Happy to have another TALL on board like Jollz when it counts. His clanger rate is reasonably low all-in-all. But the contest where he was part of a pack of talls (lost in the teeth of goal) at one part of the match - should have been punched through for a rushed behind.

I don't see anything particularly dishonorable about givin' 'em one as opposed to six. Memories of that game lost at the "knock" at TD a few years ago under similar circumstances made the hairs stand up .. eeeek!!!

Overall the swans bigs had more stats

imho thought jolly was high on our best players list,has given us great service this year.

Roosy bought Ball on at exactly the right time in the first 1/4 - Jolly wasn't doing well but improved a lot in the second half.

At this stage I think we made the right decision for the draft pick. At least we know Jolly is OK and could play for 10 years.

Wasnt that great? You just hope someone sidled up to him & asked whether Mr Johnson plays the game as well!
