Robert Walls May Ugly swans article

It is worth rereading Robert Walls May article. 3 months is a long time in football.

    Some highpoints

They haven't beaten one team that sits above them, and they won't.

This is a team in decline.

The coach is selling them short.

Mick Malthouse has taken the shackles from his Magpies.

Alastair Clarkson's Hawks will never die wondering,

Sheedy's Dons and Eade's Bulldogs put on a display that would have pleased
the 40,000-plus crowd that saw both coaches pull daring positional moves.

Good to see he stuck his neck out with his predictions!!!

if you watch fox footy u will notice that now when the swans is brought up around Walls he either goes very quiet, or suggests that he knew all along they had the potential. bit sad really, why is it that AFL commentators and particularly "experts" that are either former players or coaches never, ever, admit they were wrong?

The Ugly Duckling is actually a fairytale by Hans Christian Anderson. If we win the flag this year, I hope Roosy gives Walls an autographed copy.

And in the year with celebrations of the 200th anniversary of HCA's birth too.

          I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.
