I note Saddo played ressies but he was in the huddle after the game on Sat nite. Is that unusual? Not sure when the ressies played.

He was probably the emergency that flew down just in case someone had to pull out. The reserves played yesterday.Originally posted by giant

Anyone wondering why the Reserves are suddenly outclassing the opposition every week, while the ACTAFL's standard has no doubt remained constant from 2004 and earlier years when they were merely also-rans? Here's the reason:
Team:
McVeigh, Willoughby, Spriggs, Fixter, James, Saddington, Schauble, Powell, Moore, Campbell, Sundqvist, Schmidt, Grundy, Malceski, Bevan, Davis, Clarke, Potter, Hayes, Quade.
How many players are not on the Swans list in that team? One? And a solid majority of them have played firsts as well. In previous years, the ressies have had to drag in up to 10 local players. A long rookie list + a short injury list = complete dominance. Doesn't solve our long-term problems of where to play the 2nds though, I know.
PS Interesting that if that list is complete, ACTAFL plays with only 2 reserves.Comment

Stewy M might struggle to get a game in that squad! Must be a tad daunting to play against.Originally posted by SimonH
