This is what has kicked the ACT game off to different venue
Yup, I coach a local public schools team and they were all offered seats to the game and if they got enough numbers (which I think they did) they get a free mini bus there as well. There is a junior clinic on beforehand at the ground as well for all the kids. Not a bad idea to get all the little fellas involved, they cant wait!!

Saw that but isn't it on the Sat (13th), can't believe they'll be playing on the Sunday. In any case couldn't believe they'll be playing at an empty SCG!!!

Has anyone heard anything in the media/from the club about how ticket sales are going?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

I just turned the rugger on to see if they have lied to us and the AFL over their promise to keep the ground vin its "AFL configeration". Surprise, surprise, they didn't.

And you wonder why I hate the people involved with rugby union. What bastards!

Will we be playing on a ground that has huge divets on the wings? How are they going to re-configure the ground in less than 16 hours?

if the standard of the stadium is anything less than 100% (or is filled with unsightly yellow llines and blobs everywhere) tomorrow, I will be bloody ropable.

I am turning OFF the rugby in protest.

There was an article in todays SMH about how they convert the ground in such a short time. And a small army is gonna work all night to reconfigure, repaint and clean up. So dont you worry 'bout a thing JF.

                      You expected anything less ?

This is a sport where if you wanted Bledisloe tickets they forced you to buy tickets for the South African game as well. Doubling the cost, and trying to inflate a crowd to the SA game {Which didnt sell out }.

While its enjoying its moment in the sun, its hard to see how a game where its show peice is beating up on a small country less than the size of an Australian state (ie. NZ) is going to last. Cricket, Netball,RL and any other sport cant make NZ tests interesting.

The ground will be a mess tomorrow. Fireworks near the AFL goals were a nice touch by the rah rahs.

We should never have rolled over in the first place. Was a weak, cowardly decision with no upside then. It is a weak, cowardly decision with no upside now.

The ARU don't have to do anything to satisfy us. They have us bent over a barrel because we've demonstrated that we're unwilling to stand up to them.

We had the Saturday night booking. We should have kept it, and to hell with the Bledisloe.

Still, it will be 20 degrees and niiiiiiiiice and saaaaaaar-neeeeee (to use Kath & Kim parlance) tomorrow. Tonight it is about 4-5 degrees out there. Scarves and beanie stuff I'm afraid.

Lucky the rugby fraternity wear tweed coats to matches.

JF (in Newcastle, where it will be falling to ONE DEGREE tonight!)

PS:- I swear, do the Wobblies fans get given those yellow scarves for buying tickets to the Bledisloe like we do our caps? Surely they ALL haven't gone out and bought them on mass? Or are they giveaways?

The AFL and club will be happy if we get 50,000 tomorrow (I'd say we would have got 50K if we had tonight and the bloody-slow was pushed out to some other date).....and the ground comes up ok.

35,000. Players injured because of cut up turf under stands or from rugby goal post holes, patchy looking ground. Nobody happy.

                                Lets just see what happens.
