Swans to keep a winning set-up.

SYDNEY coach Paul Roos says he will not be tempted to change a winning set-up in a bid to exploit Brisbane's lack of height in defence in Sunday's match at Telstra Stadium.

Already missing key position stars Justin Leppitsch and Jonathan Brown, the Lions lost impressive young defender Josh Drummond to a hamstring strain in Sunday's 41-point win over Hawthorn at the Gabba.
If Brown does miss the game, it probably denies them the option of Bradshaw going into the backline. Already missing Leppitsch, White and Pike's retirement, they look quite short at the back. Who plays on Magic should be interesting, the main candidates being MacDonald and Johnson. It would be a win to us if Johnson has such a close checking role because he is their playmaker from the backhalf. I think Brennan played half a game on MOL last year, but since he's just back from a long term injury, I don't think he's in line for a similar role.

Throw Vogels, the resting ruckman and with Goodes drifting up forward, we could really stretch their defence.

It will be either Chris or Brad Scott that has the job for MOL, which is a plus for us as they are suspect overhead but they are the only real options.

MacDonald will be needed for either the resting ruckman or Goodes when he goes forward.

They just can't afford to have Johnson playing back in the goal square as it completely destroys their game plan (a bit like playing O'Keefe in a back pocket because of match up problems, will never happen as O'Keefe is to important to our structure in allowing Bazza to play closer to goal).

They will try and isolate Johnson on Davis and hope that he can work off him and set-up the play from half back. Davis could be in for either a shocker of a day or a great one if he can hurt them going the other way.

The problem being that to hurt a backman that runs off you your team normally needs to get the ball in quickly to you. They seem to have a hard enough time going to Davis at the moment, let alone doing it quickly.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
