    Mark McVeigh - Sydney 2004

My mail is Mark McVeigh to Sydney in 2004. Wants to play with his brother and family pressures to return. Bombers are interested Jude Bolton.

Also.....West Coast are showing interest in Scott Stevens
and Leigh Matthews is a big fan of Brad Seymour (likes his pyhsical nature)....so could be an interesting trading period this year.
Will this be the year !!!!

I think id rather have Bolton than McVeigh.
As long as we get some draft picks (good ones) than im happy. Its time we start getting the better end of the deal

Hmmm personally would like to see Mark @ Sydney, as to who we would lose for any trades still a long way to go before that.

On a semi related story on Mark, I had the dubious honour of playing on him in a High School Grade match many years ago, and my greatest AFL claim to fame keeping Mark with out a possesion for a quarter (I only came on in the last quarter) now where did it all go wrong

        Tractor - what's your source??

All of the trades sound interesting, but I would only consider each of them if the return is greater than the loss... as for McVeigh for Bolton, I want to wait and see. Bolton is starting to show something this year... at this stage I'd say he's a keeper.

          HAHA!

Mark McVeigh for Bolton? No thanks.

Bolton is a great player under the packs, his skills will only get better as he gets more experience etc.

          McVeigh is soft.

McVeigh's disposal is significantly better than Bolton's.

Yeah, but if we don't have anyone getting the ball, who cares how good anyone's disposal is?!?!?!?

Bolton for McVeigh? Cresswell is going to retire next year so who is going to get us the ball?

Dont mind McVeigh to don the Red and White jumper, but not in exchange for Bolton. BTW what Essendon team is lacking at the moment? Given that they lost Blumfield, Hefferman and Caracella, all front runners, how about giving them one. We should have a few.

Scott Stevens is a bit of a strange one.
One of those players who shows enough to get a game, just.

Bolton might be worth keeping if he continues his form of late for the rest of the year, in fact I should say "WOULD be definately worth keeping"

If McVeigh wants to come to Sydney, it might put the Bombers in a Nick Davis type position, where they will get less than they want for him.

Matthews wants Seymour to the Swans?
I still am a fair wrap for Brad.
And I think when (if) he gets back, he will add A LOT to our current backline.
Swans should take notice of Mattews wanting ANY player, and be very careful...

Doubt Westcoast would be interested in Stevens for a trade, may pick him up in the player draft.

                    Mcviegh, no thanks very overrated.

                    the rest interesting.

Sheedy wanted Bolton and Saddington as a clean swap for Blumfield in 1999.

McVeigh played well for SNDON on Anzac day, but I'd prefer to have Bolton

Seymour has seen better days and I readily swap him for

Yup, I'd be happy if we got those 5 players for Seymour - though maybe we should get them to throw in Brennan as well for good measure!

Scott Stevens should be given more time down back.

He really showed something against Brissie in the Wizard Cup

However he is trade - able, we picked him in the early 20's

So long as we don't have to cop a homesick dud like Josh Wooden

who has Daniel Mcpherson written all over him

If these stories are true then I can understand why the Dons would want Bolton . He is a tough at the ball player and they lack such a mid fielder. Matthews would love Seymour because of his toughness and this fits in with the Lions game style.
In regard to Stevens , I am puzzled not because of the Eagles interest but I think that Stevens is an enigma. He is great in pre season games and games at a lower level than AFL but struggles at AFL level. Maybe he does not get enough game time or is played out of position but he is a puzzle . IMO the Swans should tread warily.
