          That table is misleading. The AFL started in 1990, not 1995, when the VFL changed its name to satisfy South Australians. If the years from 1990 to 1994 are included, we would drop well down that list because that span of years includes three wooden spoons and two forgettable losing streaks where we won one game in about 40 matches.

          I think they chose 1995 because that is the year Fremantle was admitted.

            that is one of the dumbest things i've ever seen.

            Also how many of us would have put up our hands to say the likes of twice premiers Adelaide (1997-98) would've been more successful than the Swans
            um, my hands (both of them) are still up.
            then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know
