Brisbane were weakened big time before the game, let alone losing Adcock about halfway through the first quarter and Michael before half time. Obviously Lappin going down is tragic for them as well.

With those injuries today on top of their existing ones, Brisbane's season might just have effectively going down the toilet today.

As for us, a solid four quarter performance where we kept the intensity up all game and showed good skills and discipline. Could have been a little more if ROK had have kicked a few more in the last quarter, but that's only a minor issue.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

      Brisbane Flood no comment.

Bulldogs also had the major flood happening.

Be interesting to see if any comments are made in tmrws papers.

BOT : Awesome first half. Should of really smacked them, however, it was much better than a last minute kick to win.

ROK and Baz must've had super glue on their hands, marked nearly everything. They also lent some to LRT who had 2 super contested marks.

This was the worst Brisbane team that's hit the ground since Carrara (sp?). Flooding was the only way to minimalise the thumping. Our efforts to chip the pill around for 5 mins per quarter was very disappointing.

          Good grief. Be serious.

An awesome performance by Sydney. Best win for the year. Bring on September!

Agree the Brisbane team was not the Brisbane of old, but there is no use just bombing the pill forward for the sake of it. Even if you have them on toast.

All that does is get the team into bad habits and means we can't handle a super flood when the real stuff arrives in September.

Much better see the team think about how they play the game and try and spot up the right players to go over the flood.

Alot can be learned, even from games like today.

I think that was in the first minute actually.
