I thought that the midfield seemed to work okay around the ground in the 2nd half of the final period without too many of the regular first string midfielders being the standouts. If that makes sense.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Actually that does make sense There were no real standouts in the midfield today, it was really the brilliance of our forward line with Hall, O'Loughlin and O'Keefe all having good games. Some of the kicks to leading forwards made it look all too easy.

B2 built like a tank - fitting description! Very strong overhead again today.

Craig is a tough nut. Not a lot fazes him. I ran into him at the Ryan Adams gig at Enmore last month and we chatted and if you read the reviews, Ryan was at his Russell Crowe best. Makes me think Bolts likes his entertainment rough.

Great great mark. I was out of my chair for that mark. Pitty I can't say the same for Ryan's effort!

Another BIG positive is Sydney's ever increasing confidence, self belief and willingness to back each other in contests. Each week we see less and less of that almost futile chipping of the ball sideways or even backwards.

Not entirely true today - there was some of it, but given Brisbane's flooding, it was actually a positive because they seemed to be using it as a way of setting up an attack further down the ground. The sideways kick to a player who can then play on and start some run is still an important part of our game.

The positive was that we forced Brisbane in to that same futile chipping of the ball for most of the game!

I agree, which is why I said less and less rather than none. At one point in the 3rd quarter I got a bit frustrated with them for doing it once too often but as you say, it was because of Brisbane's flood.

I loved the heritage jumper. It looks much better with the red shorts than the black shorts. I'd go as far as saying I prefer that to the one we currently wear.

I think it would be a good away strip. I noticed a few people in the crowd wearing it too.

How good was McLaren kicking it to our goal square! We'd been trying to get it there for a few minutes, he takes a mark and kicks it right there. Beautiful.

Everything. Hope I dont put the mozz on us but I think we can say we have arrived.

                        Even Fozzie was good.

LRT I for one had not lost faith in you. A genuine future star who has really started to give us genuine height value in the back half.

Has he been beaten since we started our streak of 11 from 14?

Summed it up perfectly DST - all the other stuff is great and some of it fantastic, but the injuries are not there (not serious anyway) and the Swans seem to really WANT to win.

5 more wins is what I want...not much to ask for really.....

It was fantastic - a bit annoying with the sideways kicking business for a short while in the last quarter - but great.

Crouch did a great job on Aker, Aker's clown shoes looked hilarious, and for once his swan dive for a free didnt work!
(perhaps he heard our shouts of "kill him" from the stand every time he got the ball!)

It seems to me that is has all finally fallen into place - they "get it" now. Bring on September!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

I noticed a few times when Bris had the ball, the man on the mark protected the central part of the ground allowing the Bris player to kick to the wings only, forcing them wide, and to a contest. It looked like a deliberate ploy.

                                Yes Geelong.

Other have commented on LRT's game, and Schneider in the backline, Ablett's game, ROK's leading . . . . .

I saw 2 wonderfull things that I'd like to share.

                                The sublime,
We were speaking last week about long kicking Swans and a lot of you have commented on Abletts' goaline mark. But I was very pleased with Dempster's kick to Ablett, Dempster's been handballing and short passing a lot and it was great to see him well and truly unleash the boot. A huge kick and an good mark form 2 of our youngsters. I hope he does it more often!

                                The ridiculous
Akermanis ran close past White in order to scrape of Crouches tag, whether White didn't know he was coming I don't know but seeing the 2 lions collide was very amusing.
