    Vogels Nickname

Don't know if this has been discussed before but has anyone got a good nickname for Luke Vogels ? At the moment I'm favouring "Henk" after the famous Australian cyclist, though I slipped into calling him "Fashion" today (Voges -> Vogues -> Vogue -> Fashion).
BTW, I thought his game was pretty good today. With him on the HFF leading up the ground, BBBH is able to stay within range of the goals.

I think most people have plumped for The Breadman.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

There's also The Birdman, if you happen to speak German

We tend to cheer for Luke a bit, and it's always as "Voges".

On MMM the other week they were calling him "Little Luffy" and I couldn't figure out why. Then I saw him play live last week and he has that same stiff way of moving and it was quite obvious. So I yell out "Little Luffy"

I reckon he's much more fluid of movement than Luffy ever was, and definitely needs less think time. In which case if he becomes as good overhead as Troy became . . . . WOW!

Some of his work below his knees yesterday was really impressive, even in heavy traffic.

Very composed and agile for such a big bloke.
Really adds alot of balance to our squad.

I'll stick with Voges as his nickname, however i think we need one for Sean Dempster. Could we call him SOG? (Son of Graham) or Dasher as he seems to just glide on the pitch.

I'm very glad he's back fit and firing for the finals.

Perhaps something that recognises his humungous kick?

It's known as the 'swagger'. And he makes things look so damn easy!

Re the nickname: it has to be something cool. It has to be one that sticks instantly. Will get back to you on that one...
