Tiger's Goal - His Best in AFL?

Well he has kicked a couple of magnificent goals and sometimes, they meant more to the outcome of the game than today's.

However, this one I think was his greatest solo effort, almost Goodesy at Manuka stuff.

WLF gave it Play of The Round and it was an outstanding effort. I have been waiting all of 2005 for a Tiger Special and it came today.

What's your favourtie Tiger goal? Crows, Pies or Lions 2005?

Well, anyone who knows me had heard me rabbit on and on about that Collingwood goal (and more than a few people who don't know me have too), but the one today was amazing . Definitely the highlight of the match for me.

Oh, and PS, this should really be a poll.

I'm going to stick my neck out and say its his best this year . Excellent pirouette technique, straight out of the textbook.

I guess you're talking about Crows 2003 and Pies 2004 - two of his best, today's was right up there.

Very very hard to split them because of the amount of running goals he kicks - I would have to say that as a result of this, I tend to remember most of them, all very good

Actually didn't see today's at the ground properly being on the other side of the field. Maybe this should be a poll, but I'd like to put in a vote for one vs Richmond in 2003 (it's on the highlights DVD) where the ball was kicked to a contest, his opponent lost his footing, Tadhg kept his feet and accelerated Judd-style, kicked it from 50.

I'd say today's was the best as far as straight football goes, but the Pies one was better in terms of the context he kicked it in.

As for The Winners, it was goal of the round. Play of the round went to the Dogs for their kick and chase. Ffor those who didn't see it - 20secs before end of 3rd qtr, stoppage between D50 and edge of centre square, nobody forward of the defenseive edge of square. Dogs win the stoppage, Hahn roosts the ball downfield, Boyd chases, toes ahead just on Attacking 50, gathers and runs into an open goal.

            I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Ha, Yes it was Winners. I watch so much Fox Footy that I have trouble seperating the shows ha.

However, it was Play of The Round. Doggies got the Goal award.

My vote is definately for the Collingwood one, mainly because i was there, which is big for me as i only see like 2 games a year but i remember it so well him streaking down the wing, and i was sitting in the collingwood supporters area (dont ask) and i was screaming "Irish, Irish IRIIIIIISHHH" as he drilled it home celebrating and watching all the collingwood crying, good times.

Pretty sure it was the other way around.

My favourite is still the one against the Pies last year. Was at a critical time of the game, and the metres he put between him and the lunging Buckley in the flash of an eye was superb.

It broke his goal scoring drought since round 17 last year, so it was a pretty important goal for us and him!

One of my kids has become addicted to the blind turn, does nearly every time he's got the bloody footy and I've been trying to get him to give it up. Got Buckley's chance now.....

A brilliant effort by Tadgh. Definately goal of the match.

That's called a "blind turn" in Aussie Rules parlance.
