Hall. I'm all for the best player and the big key forward leading the side towards a flag.

I'm leaning towards Goodes as Captain as I think he may be the most inspirational. Next would be Kirk then Baz or Jude. I also think we need to appoint one captain for the whole finals campaign.

I really want to see Stewie play in our finals side (as long as he doesn't give away frees). I think the whole side will lift with his return. But I don't think he should be in the captain rotation - the team has moved on.

The club makes the choice and I hope it listens closely to the players. But whoever they choose (yep, even him), I'll be happy to accept as the captain of my team.

I think a future captain will be Jude. And I can see LRT or Schneider there in years to come.

Though Goodes is probably the first choice, Bolton has that hard working attitude and a dash of aggro that I like to see in a Captain.

Baz should be captain for the finals. Goodes and Kirky would also be excellent but I'm for giving it to the best and most consistent player.

Kirk then? But there's more to the captaincy than great playing or Fevola (last year) and Aker would be captains. Richo - the Tigers aren't much without him?

I don't think Baz would be the guy to lift the team after 10 losses in a row. I can see Goodes or Kirk doing that.

If, I mean when, we make ti the GF, Only one person needs to toss the coin, but all the leadership team need to play/act like Captains. Who gives a toss, who holds the cup first, they will all get a chance.

I heard a rumour that we are going in with three captains and the toss will be decided as a "best of three" tosses.

Hall the most consistent player? I can remember some pretty bad games he had a couple of months ago where he couldn't mark anything. Kirky on the other hand, I cant remember this guy having a bad game in the last two years, he is the most consistent player in the comp.

Hall is a magnificent player and has really worked hard on focusing his aggression towards the ball but I still don't think he is level headed enought to lead the team.

Goodsey is also a great player but still unreliable at times, eg the easy set shot against brisbane. Will be captain one day but not yet.

As far as being inspirational goes, I can't think of a more inspiring moment than when Kirky picked himself up off the ground and kept chasing the ball in the QF against port after one of the most bonecrunching shirtfronts I have ever seen. I think Kirky should be repaid for his dedication and never say die attitude and captain the side for the finals.

Having said all this though, I think its a fantastic dilema to be in and shows that we have no shortage of leadership at the swans. I wouldn't be unhappy to see any of Hall, Kirk, Bolton, Goodes or Leo leading the swans into the finals

Kirk for mine; as long as his grand dad takes the toss!

I reckon if Maxfield returned, the players might ask him if he wanted it.

                              If not.....

gee does this mean whoever is picked for the finals is the front runner for the future? It's a big call this rotation thing. And even a bigger responsibility on the shoulders of the chosen. So who would perform best, given the greater responsibility? Out of Goodsey or Barry Hall I reckon.

But having said that, there's so many good choices in that leadership group that could easily handle the task. And I don't think anyone has really underperformed in their role as captain (DON'T SAY IT!!!! ) since the rotation begun.

I'd hate to be the selection committee that's deciding
An instrument with only 9 notes! Surely it's easy to play?
