Let him keep 36. When I see 36 I already think of Schneider. Let him make his own history ...

Onya Schneides! Very well deserved! Great to see a "little" guy with the arrogance and self confidence on the field to back himself - keep it up and let's watch you go on with the job for many years to come!

I understand, know and see where you are coming from. It would be a great honour for Ads to get 14, but just not yet.
Like when Ben Mathews got 4, Plugger had been retired for years and had no involvement with the club and so Ben getting 4 was the right thing to do.
Plugger's 4 was only retired for 1 year before Mathews got it. I think that Paul Kelly himself should choose who gets the 14 jumper rather than the club. The main reason Mathews got 4 was because the club wanted to give him 5 but he refuses to wear an odd number due to superstition. There were reports that Lockett wanted the 4 to go to Nicks.

They talk about players being able to do something to inspire the whole team at a crucial stage of a match. It's a rare ability which Kelly had and it looks to me that Schneider has it as well.

I think that if he gets the 14 jumper, he can add to it's already great reputation at the football club.

I got initially excited by the new 14 idea, but I'm swayed by TheMase that he can create a new legend number for the Bloods.

I noticed watching the game that there was a moment when he was coming off the bench and I just caught a glimpse of the number as he ran on (camera angle from the sideline) and I have to say that I immediately a) got pumped (I think I said "yes" under my breath) and b) didn't associate that number with anyone else.

Also from what I read abot his manner he is unlikely to want to merely be following in anyone's footsteps

I was impressed with Adam's effort in one of the practice matches (I think it was North Sydney) mainly his determination and fitness. Keep up the good work Adam 20 games to go.

Adam - Congratulations on Rising Star Nomination - keep playing the way you like to play and you will get more.
Don't ever consider going to another team - we want you - we think you bring heaps to the Swans and I am sure you enjoying playing for them.
You give your all each time you take the field, even pumped ready to go before the game.

Go well - Fantastic play to watch.
                  Love those Swans

well done ads, he has always been a great young player. Even before he was signed by the swans, people thought he'd be a great addition to the swans list.
Keep doing what he has been doing, stay fit and he'll go a very long way at the swans.

Even the great man PK has recognised young adam in his book. He saw him kick 6 goals from the midfield in an interleague final in sydney and it really impressed him.
