    Swans v Swans - match-ups

Replaying Sunday's game, I found myself wondering which of our defensive players we would get to stand Barry Hall.

Anyone want to pick out the defensive match-ups for our forward line using the Swans defensive pool ?

I get stuck pretty quickly, it must be a tough job for opposition teams.

LRT is the obvious choice, he is a dead-set champion, legend and future Brownlow winner.

What a mouth-watering matchup Leo on Magic would be! I'd love to see that.

Also Kennelly or Dempster on Davis to run off him all day, the other probably having to play on O'Keefe. Probably put C.Bolts on Hall. Dunno who LRT would take.

Schneider, as our new defensive dynamo might take on Buchanan. Crouch would tag the life out of Willo, Kirk and J.Bolts go head to head.

Goodes would have to run with.... ummm, Goodes maybe, or is that the job for LRT?

I think C Bolton could do a decent job on Hall.

            The runner should stand O'Keefe.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Kind of obvious to me -

                    Bolton (1) v Bolton (2)
                    Hall v Ball
                    O'Keefe v O'Loughlin
                    Davis (M) v Davis (N)
Vogels (Little Luffy) v (who else) Luffy - OK I'm stretching it here
                    Willo Josh v Willo P

Is it true (as I have heard) that C Bolts is the strongest player in the club? If true, or even if its close, that would be one hell of a match up.

LRT would take the rest ruckman in Ball or Jolly, and fill the hole in front of Bazza. Poor fella.

I'd rather see Bevan vs. LRT. Not a lot of skill, but boy they'd be keen! Just kick the ball so it lands 20 metres from the contest every time and watch them scurry.

At the risk of sounding like a yoga disciple (it is good for your soul, skin and posture); I believe C.Bolton can bench press the most in the team and is the strongest by that measure (I believe behind him are B.Hall and D.Jolly), however a large part of B.Hall's strength in throwing an opponent down in a one-on-one marking contest/wrestle is "core" strength. I am sure that C.Bolton is probably rather strong in that respect too, but I think B.Hall would probably take him to the cleaners. I am contstantly amazed by B.Hall's strength in that situation, particuarly considering he doesn't have the biggest legs in the business.
