Just wondering if anyone watched the Footy Show and if they interviewed any Swannies regarding the match?

I can't be bothered staying up for another 2 hrs to find out

Dont waste your time. As if the Swannies would even get a mention on that show. We're only in a play off for 4th and the double chance, while the mighty pies are desperately trying to cling to a priority pick.

Note: I havent seen the footy show, just going on instinct.

Yeah that's usually what I think, so I thought I'd ask ahead of time - my guess is the umpiring would have featured highly on it tonight *ugh*

This is what i hope to see for this game.

                In: Schauble
                Out: Dempster

I think it is worth the risk losing the extra runner for this game.

                  Finally..In Schauble.
He must play against the Roos.Look at their mob.I don't know a lot about them but I do know that Hale,Petrie,Thompson and Sav are big boys and we need every bit of height and experience we can find.I think this is a danger game.Tha Kangas have a good mixture of strong, fast grasscutters, good mid size blokes and plenty of heart and soul.Should be a cracking game.I thought Saddo would have been handy this week but I see he's not listed.I do agree that Dempster may lack a yard against the likes of Jones,Harding and Grant. Is MOL fit,I heard he had an MRI on his leg during the week.

LRT will unfortunately have to take Hale/Petrie, and Schauble on Rocca, so Leo or B2 will proabably get Thompson.

Agree LRT will be given the task of minding the resting ruckman in Hale or Petrie.

Schuable will play and take Sav, while either Barry or B2 will take Thompson.

Will be very interesting as to whether the Roos play the resting ruckman forward as well and whether the two big blokes will find enough space not to be spoiling each other.

Either Crouch & Scheinder to get Grant when playing forward and you would think that Kennelly will have first dibs on Corey Jones, although they may choose the hardness of B2 on Jones who has played well against us in the past.

Ablett to take Wells on a wing, and you would think that Jude Bolton will go head to head with Daniel Harris. That leaves Kirk to try and go with Simpson and North will want to sit Rawlings on Williams.

Up forward, look for Watt to have first crack at O'Loughlin and the wildcard of Fritto for Hall. North would dearly love to have both Archer & Colbert play on the 3rd and 4th attacker so they can zone off and and block supply to Bazza & Micky O. O'Keefe has hurt the Roos in the past when he leads up the field and provides a link to the forwards as either Archer or Colbert will try and sit back off him to protect the space.

We have the advantage in the ruck and must win the clearances to make sure we win the match.

Crouch on Harvey or Wells might make more sense. Pace is Grant's weakness and it would be a bit of a waste of Crouch's pace for him to run with Grant. Mathews may be more suited to Grant, particularly as he is damaging enough to warrant sacrificing one of our players just to cut him (Grant) out of the game.

Looks like Leo on Rocca then...as much as Schauble looks like the better match-up, it's a remarkable show of faith in the Swans' current backline. They may give away height, but Leo and B2 in particular have become, without a doubt, pound for pound two of the best defenders in the AFL. But surely even Roos could bite the bullet and say that they can't play on the big forwards EVERY week, now can they? Schauble DOES deserve better than this especially as he has been the leader of our defence whenever he's played since Dunks retired.

I'm dispondent. Its my beleif that we cant win a flag without at least the option of another tall defender. St Kilda will crucify us. WC too on a bigger ground, and maybe even Adelaide.
