Goal accuracy

A lot of noise has been made about how our early goal inaccuracy cost us games at the start of the season, so I did a look back through the footy records, and I think (it was late) I came up with 3 games we lost where we had more scoring shots....

.... and 3 games we won where we had less scoring shots!

So it evened out.

Anyway, The games we should have won to give us a top 2 IMO were:
Melbourne at SCG.
Richmond in Melbourne.
Adelaide in Adelaide.

Lost opportunity.

Ifs. Such ifs wont matter one bit if we win in the first week of the finals.

There are a couple of games we won that we probably shouldn't have as well. The Brisabne game in Rd 3 is one. You've got to expect that there will be some games where chances go begging. Anyway, I don't think it matters given our current position.

That's why stats don't always work for sport.

The poor goal accuracy costs us in games where we should of got an early strong lead to put pressure on the opposition team. When we played West Coast in Perth comes to mind....

Or it costs us when we are trying to make a comeback but instead of getting some momentum and confidence on and kicking a couple of good goals we might kick two behinds and basically put the game out of reach.
