That is correct (on Melbourne radio as confirmed by AFL), which means we are odds on for a Friday night showdown with Adelaide at AMMI.

At least we get the thing over and down with quickly. Hate waiting until Saturday night or Sunday for a first up final.

The other advantage is more recovery time relative to the next opponent and more time for sore spots to heal should it be necessary to front up the following week.

And less time for Crows/Eagles to heal from their hopefully bruising game

As much I would like to see a Swans Premiership in my lifetime, I would think that most of us would like the game to be played fair and against good opposition. A Premiership given because of injuries and suspensions to the other team, in my opinion, would still be a Premiership, but there will always be a cloud over the result.

Lets hope our Bloods show us what they are capable of - Beat the best team the opposition can throw at us ... And if that means a tame game between Crows and Eagles, so be it ... Bring it on !!!

Like Brisbane's 2003 premiership when they beat us - lacking Ball and O'Loughlin - and went on to flog Collingwood?

Do you think anyone other than Swannies fans remember that in 2003 we almost made the GF minus arguably two of our strongest players in Magic and Ball? No one out there is saying the Lions probably should only have the two premierships because they played a weak swans in the preliminary.

I will take a flag however it comes.

You beat the opposition that runs out on the day. End of story.

So if we played Friday night in Adelaide, who would broadcast the match? C9 have rights to Friday night games but there's no way we'd get a live telecast in favour of the League.

Channel 10 has the rights to all finals - so it will be live on free to air in Sydney. It will still go up against the League in Sydney so unfortunately will probably get caned in the ratings.

The League has two rounds to go so at least the Swannies game would not be up against a "final" in the league. I guess in this respect, the AFL would prefer Sydney to play on Saturday as there is no league on free to air, only Foxtel.
                            Swannies for life!
