"From my point of view, I have probably said for a while now, this game is just becoming so hard to umpire."
He's "probably" said it for a while now? umm...so he's not sure if he's been saying it or not?Comment

I would guess "probably" related to "a while now".Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

He should stop saying "probably" and "look" and being so damn pc. He's a nice guy and great coach but he can be boringly predictable and repetative at times. It would be great to see him come out and just once make a controversial comment.Comment

Make that in 4 weeks time, now is not the time to be controversial, going by they antics of the Umps last week. Good move, great spin.Originally posted by BayseysLeftBoot

I never said he had to make a comment about the umpires, in fact i think it was a good move on his behalf to do the opposite given the situation last friday night. It would just be good to hear him say something interesting once in a while.Originally posted by bandwagon
Why would a coach want to make a controversial comment that will get the umpires offside just prior to their teams finals campaign?
Clever comments from Roos. He can keep his ego in check!Comment

There goes your career in PR too, Cow. Tho mind it's probably still less offensive than what Thomas managed to come out with.Originally posted by Sanecow

Here's another line of bull from Roos:
Do the Swans staff not read the Melbourne papers or have access to Foxtel? Yeah, ooookay. It is hard to comment from Sydney because, as we know, there is not as much publicity up here about the umpires in the AFL.Comment

I take it back - maybe you can spin with the best of them.Originally posted by Sanecow

Roos is clearly saying here that he's not sure if the umpiring is detracting from the spectacle of the football for Sydney supporters, coz there aren't articles or Letters to the Editor deriding the umpiring in the SMH or frenzied callers to John Laws with muted death threats, like there presumably are in Melbourne.
Which just means he needs to spend more time on RWO...Comment

No, I believe what he is saying is that "It is hard to comment from Sydney because, as we know, there is not as much publicity up here about the umpires in the AFL." which is nonsense because they have Melbourne papers, Foxtel and the Internet in Sydney, believe it or not. He spins the "we don't know much about that because we are in Sydney" nonsense quite a bit but it's just another method of avoiding the issue at hand.Comment
