    Ackermanis Trade Rumour again

On the back page of last Sunday's Herald in Sydney, there was a small story on another possible trade to Sydney again.

I thought that it was a ridiculous story however on WLF tonight, they listed the rumoured trades and chops for each Club.

It had Ackermanis listed as a trade. For Sydney, there were no chops but Saddo and Bevan were listed as trades.

I presume the acker trade to Sydney is another joke, well at least I hope so. His contract isn't up for expiry at the end of this year but I think he cried "Sydney" one too many times!
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

Akermanis is one of the absoloute standout talents in the game today.
He would be welcome at sydney any time, providing his ego and attitude can fit into the game plan.

How would Crouchy welcome him if he came? hehe

Lets see, he's 28 so he'll have quite a few more seasons left in him and he's prob one of those players who will play well right until retirement.

Could be worth it depeding on what we trade for him.

Is he trying to inflate his contract salary again?
That's the problem with modern day medicine - there's no more natural selection of the species.
No wonder there's so many Collingwood fans.

Probably more bull**** started by Acker himself to inflate his own value.

Could be some truth in it this time as aker wouldn't really stand to gain from it. Also with the lions sudden fall from grace they may hold the view that it's time to think long term. They could be in the market for a couple of youngsters Bevan/Schneider/Buchannen, could be another win/win trade like the schwass/grant one.

Swans on the way up and Lions on the way down? Maybe a simple matter of wanting another flag at age 28. Maybe Mathews had had enough of his individualism!!!! (and left foot kicking)

a few months ago robert walls made the observation that aker was the kind of unrestrainable talent that you'd move heaven and earth to keep around a club while things were good and dumped like a hot stone when things went south. brisbane is definitely coming off the boil and leigh matthews might not need the complication of a frustrated motormouth genius around his shop.

our timing would be perfect. lets nab him.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

I know a lot of people hate him and he some of his comments do p!@# me off but I've always found it refreshing and entertaining the way he speaks his mind instead of repeating pc media friendly crap that spews forth from the mouths of most players.

I dont think you should ever recruit loudmouth 28yr olds. Brash young up-and-comers are fine, but by 28 they should be wiser and a role model.

For a team that openly speaks of having no egos, and a true team spirit, how on earth would Mr Jason "Soft Receiver, Most Possessions, Hand-stands are the @@@@" Akermanis actually add value??

Because he would be amongst the best players in the team.

The funniest thing would be Crouch tagging him out of habit!!
