Re: Re: Trev's Scoreboard
Took me a while to figure out, but I think its the points differential for each player while they are on the ground. Still can't figure out why the players are ordered in that way.Originally posted by ScottH

If you take the cumluative +/- figure and divide it by the number of minutes played (and multiply it by 100 to make the final figure easier to read), you get the players ranked like this:
73.3 Stephen Doyle
33.8 Jarred Moore
26.8 Nic Fosdike
22.8 Jason Ball
22.6 Paul Williams
14.7 Nick Malceski
13.9 Adam Schneider
12.5 Luke Vogels
12.0 Ben Mathews
11.5 Jarrad McVeigh
11.2 Sean Dempster
10.9 Lewis Roberts-Thomson
9.9 Adam Goodes
9.4 Nick Davis
9.4 Brett Kirk
9.0 Tadhg Kennelly
9.0 Michael O'Loughlin
8.6 Leo Barry
8.4 Amon Buchanan
8.2 Jared Crouch
8.2 Barry Hall
8.1 Craig Bolton
7.9 Darren Jolly
7.8 Ryan O'Keefe
7.8 Jude Bolton
6.0 Jason Saddington
3.4 Luke Ablett
2.9 Andrew Schauble
-7.8 Paul Bevan
-9.3 Matthew Nicks
-11.5 David Spriggs
-24.1 Stuart Maxfield
If you take away some of the outliers because of playing too few games (Doyle, Moore, Malceski etc) this gives a pretty interesting and surprising insight into who might be important to our team's performance.
Then again, stats don't tell us everything.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Trev's Scoreboard
I think the order is arranged by +/- descending but split into two groups - those who have played over 1800 minutes and those who have played below. Why 1800 minutes? NFI. It would have been good if Trev wrote something accompanying this spreadsheet.Originally posted by ScottH
