    Pinch hitters from the Bench

Our side has been unchanged for the last few weeks and this can only be due to the eveness and great form of our bench players.

Fosdike - Has provided great run to the side and has continued his great form from the Richmond game. It's a credit to him as has been continually slagged off (even by me).

Ball - Has provided great cover for Big Jol and has been consistent as always.

Vogels - The marvel. A versatile tall who just slots nicely into the forward line. Seems very confident in his skills and has proven a great asset to have when Mickey O Magic has a spell. If we are desperate we can put him down back.

Dempster - Extra paceman with a booming kick. Versatile player who can play a run with role on a pacy midfielder or a small forward. Has height too.

We are a team that rotates alot on the bench and it is a credit to these four pinch hitters who have been able to slot in nicely when our starters have a rest.

I agree as well, though Dempster is a bit hard done by to be considered a bench player. Without bothering to look at stats, I reckon he spends little time on the bench.

But right you are Jeffers. These are pinch hitters we could have used last weekend in our softball grand final!

Nonetheless, I think Fozzy (and his snazzy shoes) has been in fine form of late.
Vogels is progressing well, and looks like a reliable and smart footballer -- a starter of the near future.
Ball is feeding well off the bench and the tag team with Jolly has been going great guns.
Dempster's booming kick and ability to read the play has been fabulous, also.

To be quite honest, I think we have the best bench in the league. Though I do realise I am probably biased.

Interesting. What does Balley eat when he is on/off the bench. If he is feeding off the bench does it mean he brings his own knife and fork.

He actually likes to play a version of the Chocolate Game on the bench. He is not allowed to take a dice onto the field, so instead of rolling 12, the benchies take turns until the next call from Roosy comes through.

The agreement states the home side supplies the utensils. Thus, Wet Toast supply them for this week's game.
