    Our game on TEN

TEN has updated their schedule on their own website. The game broadcast on Friday will start at 8pm (game time is 8:30).

Unfortunately they have chosen to now delay the Sat night game to 9:55

Shows you how they dont really give a stuff once they've got the rights.

CH9 is no better. I cant even remember how late CH7 used to show games.

No worries there anymore. Last night it was announced it's going to be transmitted live in Sydney.

Nine would have shown it at 11:30 (or later). Seven wouldn't even show Swans games in prime time.

IMHO Ten is by far the best of the three networks.

I never had any doubt that our own game would be on live - it just takes time to update the schedules. I imagine the other online tv guides will get updated tonight.

Channel 10 are tops IMO. They've stuck with the Swans, even though they regularly finished bottom of the ratings even to SBS on occasions.

Don't get too warm and fuzzy with C10 it is in their contract to televise all Swans games live back into Sydney when they are the broadcaster.

This was not a good decision on their behalf but a contractual obligation.

and they tweaked the use of the word "live" to the best of their ability as it's on a half hour delay when the game is being played in Sydney and Melbourne to fit with the Saturday night viewing schedules.

Maybe it's a clever ploy to ensure we listen to the commentators and not the radio while watching the game.

You can't blame them if they don't go live against the gate when we play in Sydney, really effects no one as they should be at the game.

As for Melbourne games they did tweak that, but if it is only 1/2 an hour then it is not the end of the world.

it does when all you want to do is turn off the commentators but not sit and watch the game in silence. This happened earlier in the year and I had to put up them as the radio feed was ahead by a half hour.

Also when you have friends at the game in Melb who sms you about a particular piece of play and you have NO idea why.

Don't get me wrong, it's better than the late night abridged coverage we got at times with seven, but still technically it's not live.

So far this season I haven't been home while the swans were playing so that hasn't been a problem.

For games when I am home I usually start watching (from the beginning) about 30-40 mins after the broadcast starts. That way I can zap the ads along the way. I usually catch up to real time just as the game ends. Watching that way I don't have the option of using an alternate commentary.

Very happy to see ten doing the finals - I think their camerawork is better, follow the field position better so I won't be yelling at the set to get the camera back. Nine's camerawork sucks.

Just heard on WLF that the game was being broadcast on Ten at 10pm Friday night -- or is that just in Melbourne? We are having A/C issues at work so I am basically sitting under a 747 and couldn't hear every word that was said. Anyone?
And you can't find nothing at all,
If there was nothing there all along.

Tuesday, you should've listened more carefully. The complaint came from a Saints supporter in Sydney and it was related to the delayed broadcast of the Crows vs Saints game on Saturday night, not the Eagles vs Swans game on Friday night. So, please don't panic.
