Walking back to my car after uni today, I saw a special someone's car. I took that to be an omen, but I wasn't watching where I was going and almost stepped on a dead rat in the middle of the footpath.

    Does that count?

Your life sounds like a cross between The Godfather and stalking.

It depends if you were up in a tree in camouflage gear with very strong night vision binoculars fixed on their garage?

          And any restraining orders.

I definitely don't think it counts as stalking when the reason you know their car is because they asked you if you were leaving your parking spot.

I'm sure he could see the Swans sticker on the back of the car, so he has no one to blame but himself.

Talking about omens, just watching Roosy on channel TEN news giving a press conference from the Subiaco training session.

whilst talking the Sydney Swans and QBE backdrop fell over and Roosy says "I hope this isn't an omen".

Haha I cracked up at that. I love the fact that apart from a great tactician, Roosy can have a joke along the way. He looked very relaxed too.
That's the problem with modern day medicine - there's no more natural selection of the species.
No wonder there's so many Collingwood fans.

                  Thank you, dear Eirinn!
He did ask me last session if I was leaving my fabulous spot, and I said that I wasn't. No worries, there.
Being so close to the Uni, racecourse and hopsital, you hang onto good parking spots come hell or high water! They are few and far between.

And no, there was certainly no masquerading as trees involved. Just me being awoken from my own little world for a brief moment and then brought back to reality when I was about to step on the carcass in thongs. And I had only just finished listening to a lecture about the Plague in early 20th century Sydney! Now that is an omen, though hopefully not one about my home town playing host to the Plague again...

Erin's super Biscuits are the ultimate key! Oh and the fact that i eat the biscuit with Swans on it first before the Bucky and Eski biscuits which will mean that the Swans will play well as a whole.

                    Has worked a treat.

Noooo that's a GOOD omen. Remember the Wayne Carey blow up effigy at the 96 grand final?
An instrument with only 9 notes! Surely it's easy to play?

Not ANOTHER bloody omens thread...I don't think I have anything to say on the matter after our WWWLWWWLWWWL pattern got broken last week, other than that going into the finals with our best winning streak of the season is probably the best omen of all to have!

Maybe not an omen but I had to go over to the Swans office on Monday. The players all looked relaxed but focused as they wandered in around midday. Jude in particular looked very serious. But the coaches all came in together - presumably from lunch somewhere. They were all in a very good mood and Roosy was looking as relaxed as I've seen him.

I was on the banner at Telstra in 2003 when we lost to the Pies. That night it didn't look good as they all looked very tense coming onto the ground. And sometimes when you meet players during the season you can see they are stressed. This time they all looked like men with a job to do and a clear idea how they were going to do it. Adam and Baz when I said I hoped they would enjoy September just switched to huge grins and both said separately "thanks, we will".
