Where to watch the game this friday?

    Hello all

Just wondering what are some good pubs around Sydney that will be playing the game on Friday night and that will have some Swans fans there??

    Thanks

Not at SARSC during the Swans game - it was watching the later games with only small numbers that he had the problem.

The Alex will have a lot of yuppies there who are not really interested in the game. The SARSC would be the better venue if you want to yell and cheer etc with a bunch of fellow Swannies

i think the courthouse on australia st in newtown gets a few supporters
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

Don't worry - Jules' was only an argument about singing other clubs songs downstairs while people wanted to watch Rugby. Upstairs is very laid back - and the after match functions have a lot of very young kids. Great atmosphere though it feels weird clapping & singing the team song with the team 1000 km away.

Food is good and cheap ($12.50 for about anything). Bar service can most charitably be described as erratic (but cheap). If you have club membership (w your Swans membership) take it as you get a discount on drinks. Kings Cross parking station sometimes gives a discount.

As far as I recall, they don't let anyone under 18 into the club, we couldn't get Bon Bon in this year.

                  Three reasons:

                  1. I didn't have my full eye make-up on, therefore I didn't look as old as I was meant to be.

                  2. I wasn't wearing stilettos (self-explanatory).

                  3. It wasn't an organised aftermatch.
Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.

The ARC has cheap drinks, good company and does a choice chicken parma! What more do you want?

Plus, you can scream/cheer/whatever at the screen without being socially ostracised. It's all good!
And you can't find nothing at all,
If there was nothing there all along.

Anni, all of my three reasons were true but only the third one was realistic.

May I just correct you there slight Ruda. I have NOT had hassles watching a Swans game there. It was watching the Port-Freo match later on where security became over-officious.

I emplore that as many Swans fans come from work or whereever and BRING THEIR COLOURS to the SARC. The room right up the top will be the place to be. It has been sparsely populated at the games I have watched there. But was far far better attended last week. So hopefully the trend continues and we get the crowd we used to get watching matches at Easts League, which at one stage became legendary.

I'll go in early and commandere some chairs and tables.

AAAAH you can indeed tell a good pub by its chicken parma.
