Why John Worsfold should be worried (article)

West Coast Eagles coach John Worsfold might have dismissed those concerned about his team's form going into the finals as "small-minded" but if history is any guide it is the Eagles' coach who should be the most worried about his team's lack of momentum going into September.

When reading it, it all makes sense and you have to agree with history.

As a nervous supporter, I am not hanging my hat on anything other than my head at the moment.

A loss won't be the end of the world, but a win would shorten our odds as flag favourites (depending on Saints form).

Not too sure if you can read too much into that. There wouldn't be too many teams that have had poor lead in form AND a top 2 spot. In that respect I'd say the Eagles are pretty unique. Be interesting to note where the premiers mentioned in the article were placed at the end of the minor round.
