I'll be at the airport at 9am tomorrow in red and white. I just got a call from a friend in WA who said the line to collect tickets is hundreds of metres long. Then got a call from two other friends who found tickets today so just booked flights to Perth tomorrow - but have to come back on the midnight redeye for obligations on Saturday!

Excited? Yeah, a bit. That's a lie - if it keeps building as it is, I'll need incontinence pads by tomorrow morning.

I've spent half my day in here checking the latest news, gossip and opinions. I'm pumped for these finals!

I haven't been this excited about finals since '96 and back then it was all dampened by the impending evil-SIL curse.

My enthusiasm has even rubbed off onto my husband (I married an NRL supporter ) who has told me he'll be watching the boys tomorrow night instead of the NRL rubbish that is on.

Safe trip west David. Are you going to bring your bullet proof vest with you?

I'll be jumping up and down too much for them to have a clear shot. [And, anyway, I saw at the SCG how inaccurate Judd is from 15 metres out in front of goal.]

I'm nervous and Aussie Ange & I have rung each other a number of times today to discuss - we will be at the other Unholy Trinity members place tomorrow night screaming at the teve, sitting in our same formation, wearing the same clothes we wear to every match (except for Tam being very pregnant her Swans jumper doesnt fit anymore) sipping a nice 1998 "Ribena" (well Tam will have real ribena!) and cheering so loud that the neighbours are bound to complain, and Tams husband will flee to the nearest pub!

I dont think I will sleep tonight,

And cruiser - down boy - Bon Bon will scratch your eyes out, she doesnt like to compete for Ryan
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

I've been a bundle of nerves since the near-miss regarding the rat yesterday. Even let a "CARN!" slip out when I saw the ad for the game whilst at the gym today.

I am counting down the hours...
Me too - trying to write a paper on native title. Hopeless - can't start, can't finish. Wonder if they give once in a lifetime swans grand final extensions?

I've got it badly. My youngest daughter caught me this morning standing rigid in front of the fridge and sai, "What are you doing?"
I replied,"Imaging the Swans winning the Premiership." She just shook her head and wandered off.

Agree, I hope tomorrow night isn't going to be a cold shower for everybody.

Part of finals fever is the worrying about losing so no cold shower needed if we lose. Many years of practise make it bearable but not wanted.

Colleagues and friends who don't follow this religion (apologies to those of recognised institutionalised faith) have been asking me all week about our chances. This site appears way too frequently on my visited pages list. At least once every hour I get a shiver thinking about the possiblity...what will I wear to the ball? One more sleep - pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease go quickly. Go you beautiful Swans - this is OUR year.
Patterns emerge, but do they mean anything? No.

As seen by my fervent posting on here this week, Sydney FC's opening and how good the atmoshere and everything was has totally taken over my mind all week. I have been on SydneyFC-Unofficial all week and have posted there more than RWO.

It was actually getting a bit disturbing. Here are the Swans 3 games from a flag and I couldn't help but think about Sydney FC and the World Game.

BUT today I read about the Wests Tigers getting Homebush over us (considering we lose next week, which I'm confident we won't). That filled me with rage and indignance! After that I have started to get into the finals mindset a bit more.

But to be honest, with it being on a Friday and with me not being there live, it is kind of not the same.

How many of us have so much on their plate this month that they are at bursting point? Remember I have Sydney FC, the Sydney Kings, the Socceroos, the Newtown Jets to support as well as trying to keep up a blossoming relationship going.

I'm going to push for the Friday until Tuesday off if we make the Grand Final. Some of you may think that it is a bit fanciful thinking about that. I am just looking at things from a logistical point of view. Remember I work in travel, you know.

Benny's car on the Thursday night before the GF sounds bloody good to be honest! I just HAVE to be in Melbourne for the Grand Final parade this year, having had to graduate from uni that day in 1996.
