I was wrong about Paul Roos.

He is smart enough to coach an AFL team.
I mistook supreme 'coolness' for idiocy.

I believe that his attitude could calm the team enough, that it won't carry over to next week.

...how could he joke through that post-match interview?
It would have cost me my pension.

He looked absolutely wrecked yet conducted himself with grace and humour.

I was already a fan so needed no convincing, but I know we have the right man in the job right now.

The only way to maintain his sanity and avoid saying something that he may have regretted later?

      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

His accountant might have, but I doubt that he would.

There's things that need to be said, and umpires that need to be sacked.

So what day this week will we hear that Roosy will be putting in a call to Jeff Gieschen?

Agree about sacking umps - McInerney and McLaren should not umpire another game this season. If there aren't 8 field umps better than them going around at the moment, the game is in serious trouble.

Yep. Surely the AFL realises that there comes a time when the sport's credibility (yes, that is what is on the line when things like this happen in September) is more important than the credibility of one department.

If it takes an overhaul and some costly sackings, well, so be it. The game is dying and it's these stupid, incompetent fools that are responsible.

He must have Gieschen on speed dial. How many times has he supposedly called him? Doesn't seem to be making any difference. What's the bet the Giesch comes out backing the decision saying its technically correct.

Technicalities aren't enough to justify that decision when the common sense approach would have been to let it go. The best umpiring comes in games where you don't realise they're out there.

Its about time the club made a $20,000 deposit on favourable umpiring. Didn't harm Hird, his fee has been the fine that keeps on paying dividends. It's our turn.

They've tried their best to screw us all year and now Stephen McBurney could go down in history as the one that cost the Swans the chance to end 72 years of heartache.

THERE'S ONLY ONE WORD FOR THAT DECISION ---- CHEAT!!!

                      It was actually Shane McInerney.

Having said that, we were brave despite being outplayed for most of the night and had every chance to win.
It's gonna be tough now, but let's just hope we can avoid St Kilda at the G at night.

Hands up now if you still think we were better off playing the Eagles than the Crows.
We would have beaten Adelaide with that for sure.

All ifs and buts though and we now wait for Demons or Cats.

How can it be technically correct to pay a free to a player who runs off the mark to make contact with an opponent? To be perfectly technical, it is complete bull@@@@.

Was out at junior footy again this morning, Grand Final day and got a shock to see Roos out there(the older son was playing in a GF I think). Obviously had come back on the Perth "redeye", I reckon I would've cast the wife out and headed to bed. But he was out there joking around having a chat to all and sundry. The guy is a marvel, as soon as the siren went........"right that's over, now for next weekend".
