My Membership is now Ripped up.

The AFL can get stuffed.

If I wanted to watch officials ruin a game I would watch professional wrestling or Basketball.

I am not going to renew my membership next year and I certainly won't be going to next weeks or any further games. The umpiring is a joke to say the least and I refuse to pay good money and waste my time on something until it can become a fair sport between athletes. This sucks because the Swans are the best team in Sydney and AFL is a great sport but I have had enough. I might start following the Sydney AFL during winter instead. Maybe by about 2008 I might have another look at AFL and see if they have fixed it up by then.

I hope the Swans can win a flag - I won?t be watching.

Not much of a supporter if you cant stand by your team when they are getting screwed.

I always thought it was strange you had a soccer ball for your avatar anyway. Maybe that's the sport for you. Something a bit slower and softer.

Wil, you have every right to be annoyed at the Yellow Twits after their inept display, but how is punishing Sydney(ripping up your membership,not going to any games) going to change anything

Only the clubs can put pressure on the league to make changes. If no Swans fans turn up next week, what do you think the AFL will do regarding the problem that has been ruining the sport for 2+ years.

Boycott the game, if you don't like the product don't support it. Why should ANYTHING be changed if they still get 50,000 people coming to games?

Anyway, that will do me here I think.

The AFL lost my confidence last night. I'll tolerate that lack of confidence whilst the Swans are still around, though. It's not their fault, but it's the Swans that you are punishing.

Fair enought thats your opinion, but to my way of thinking you are punishing the wrong people (ie the Swans), through no gate revenue, money spent on merchandise etc .
Wouldn't force the AFL to address the gross incompetence in the Umpire ranks

It all revolves around consistency. Pay the frees both ways. Kirk got belted every time he put his head over the footy for bugger all result. Yet Cousins gets touched anywhere on his body and he gets a free.

knowing our luck there will most likely be no "hometown" free kicks and they'll give the cats a free ride. the umps are good at changing the way they do their job

They seem to listen to things when there's an outcry - so Roosy needs to let them have it this week and see if they respond to that too.

I think you are deserting the swans too.
Tell me a game of any kind where umpires, referees etc can be challenged.
AFL bosses, Rugby Bosses, Rugby League Bosses, Netball, Soccer, Basketball all their referees and umpires make mistakes but there is never a come back.
Wake up - yes we were let down badly and it is very unfair.
But support the swans like they have to.
See how hard they played and worked to win - deserting them doesn't help them.
Get there next week and yell and scream and clap and cheer so we beat the Geelong team and their coach.
Support is the key word - not desertion.
