    Excessive Negativity on this board

I dont know how this comes about but there have always been more negative comments about the team than positive ones.

We are the bunch of supporters who sell our players short most. I admit I did that to Crouch but the overall picture is absolutely appalling.

From round 15 to the qualifying final: We won all, except losing twice, both to a good team at their homeground.

Yet, there are (37+25+54+34+32+41+14+35)=272 posts in the positive threads and
(68+40+47+36+76+23+20+40)=350 posts in the negative threads. Take out the data from the two losing games, number of positive posts is still less than the negative ones.

It is clear that we prefer to discuss negative side of the team performance than the positive. Is this some way of supporting the team .

    Evidence below:
    ===========================================
Qualifying Final: Loser against the eagles.
Positive Thread: so far 37 posts.
Negative Thread: so far 68 posts.

Round 22: Winner against the Hawks
    Negative thread: 40, link.
    Positive thread: 25, link.

Round 21: Winner against North Melbourne
Mixed in the same thread, not counted.

Round 20: Winner against the Lions
    Positive thread: 54, link.
    Negative thread: 47, link.

    Round 19: Winner against Essendon
    Positive thread: 34, link.
    Negative thread: 36, link.

Round 18: Loser against the Crows
    Positive: 32, link.
    Negative: 76, link.

Round 17: Winner against the Eagles
    Positive: 41, link.
    Negative: 23, link.

    Round 16: Winner against Melbourne.
    Negative: 20, link.
    Positive: 14, link.

    Round 15: Winner against Geelong.
    Negative: 40, link.
    Positive: 35, link.

Could it simply be that, as fans who like to discuss their team, there is more to debate in what went wrong after a loss (everyone having a go at suggesting what they would have done differently) than there is in what went right after a win?
Perhaps you are being too negative about your fellow fans?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Doesnt this thread just contribute to the negativity stats.

Hardly surprising that the 'negative' has more as it tends to raise more debates and arguments.

I fail to see how observations are not 'supporting the team' - didn't realise there was a set formula or guidelines.
