Plus, standing in a cold 11-12 degree SCG evening on your own is not exactly my idea of a good thing to do. Still if anyone is in the area, I say we go to the Forresters afterwards for a $5 steak.

    Meanwhile in sleepy Geelong...........

Meanwhile in sleepy Geelong they'd go out in 2 degrees temps to watch their team train

Is there anything else to do in Geelong?
And you can't find nothing at all,
If there was nothing there all along.

I'll be travelling up to Sydney on the weekend for the match but won't be able to support the boys at training so instead I'll go to Geelong dressed as a reporter and see if I can scare Nathan Ablett out of the AFL.

I just called the club, training this afternoon (usually open training on Wednesdays) is a closed session.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Well, it saves going down the road to the local bush dance!

Seriously, what else is there to do in Geelong?

PS:- Is is just me? Or are alot of Geelong's supporters old age grannies that go to training with their blue and white rugs?

                Seriously, nothing.

You could go into the Geelong city centre, but there's not a hell of a lot in there either... It's like a slightly busier Gosford.

Mind you, there are seriously excellent fish & chips to be had in Geelong. And wind. Cruel, piercing, freezing cold wind all year round, Geelong is real good at providing that.

Kardinia Park is much more accessible to the average fan wanting to check out the training sessions than the SCG or Telstra Stadium to most of us in Sydney.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....
